Barbara A. Venable
Barbara A. Venable, 73, of Davison, died Sunday, December 4, 2005 at her residence. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday, December 8 at Allen Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. both Tuesday and Wednesday and from noon until the time of service Thursday.
Mrs. Venable was born in Flint October 17, 1932, the beloved daughter of Earl and Bernice (Anderson) Woodruff. She was a 1951 graduate of Flint Central High School and married Gerald Venable in 1963, making Davison their home since 1968. Together they raised three children, Vicki (Bobby) Bell of Metamora, Teri Mason (her angel) of Davison and Michael Venable of Tallahassee, Florida. Barbara was the founder of Barb's Stitches 'n Things, having a love of needlework and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jack. Survivors include: her husband, Jerry; three children; grandson, Tommy McHale (her sunshine); step-grandchildren, Bobby Bell and Holli Bell (her sweetie), step-grandchildren Zachary, Madison and Aleah. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were by Allen Funeral Home.
