Isaac Joseph Grindstaff, Jr. is the fourth of eight children born to Isaac Joseph Grindstaff and Georgie Ettie Reese. He married Margaret Carroll Leahy in 1918 and she died in 1922. In 1923 Joseph married Marguerite Esther Rahn, in South Dakota. He served in Navy as a seaman. He had one daughter, Marian Josephine Grindstaff from his second wife who was born about the time he died.
