With all due respect to Richard Hollis, something is wrong here concerning her parents. Jeremiah M. Johnson and Gillie Tomlinson had only one daughter, Missouri Victoria, and four sons. There is no daughter Betty with them in the 1880 census, Wilson Co., TN, Dist. 6, p. 384A, HH #131/139.
I think I have solved the mystery I reported earlier. There were two different Gillie Tomlinsons from Wilson Co., TN, both very close in birth but one the aunt of the other. Bettie Johnson who m. John Henry Beaver was the d/o Gillie Ellen Tomlinson & Samuel Jesse Johnson. Gillie was his second of three wives (m/1 her sister, Mary T. E. Tomlinson; m/3 Ellen Hill.)
