Jane Posante Wallace, 90, a native of Louisville went to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, August 21, 2017.

Jane was born to the late Phillip and Rebecca Posante. She worked as a kindergarten teacher for 25 years at St. Barnabas, and then several more years at St. Pius X for their after school care program.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Earl Wallace; and seven siblings.

She was the loving parent of Barbara Hill (Roy) and Phyllis Collins (Tom); grandchildren, Shannon Zickel (Kenny), Paige Fitzhugh (Scott), Melissa Heck (Dave), and Beaven Raymond (Ty); siblings, JoAnn Knapp, Issy Posante, and Marty Posante; and seven great-grandchildren.

Jane enjoyed square dancing, reading, and RV camping as a younger woman. She devoted much of her life to children and “loved all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren equally”. The family wishes to thank Twinbrook Assisted Living for their wonderful care and concern.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Ratterman and Sons, with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens – Mt. Washington.
