Mr. Armstrong was formerly employed at Smith's Dairy Co. and Westfield Insurance Co. He was also owner and operator of the Seville Sunoco Service station and more recently had his own fire extinguisher business.
He lived in the Seville area most of his life and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church there.
He was past master of Masonic Lodge 74, F&AM, Order of Eastern Star, May Chapter 217, in Seville.
Surviving are two sons, John and David, both of Wadsworth; one brother, William, Portsmouth; one sister; Mrs. Claribel Hilliard, Virginia; two granddaughters.
Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:30 p.m. at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Seville, where Masonic services will be conducted at 9 p.m.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home and burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Seville.
