Son of Henderson Charles Wesley and Sarah Perryman Berrier, born 4/7/1889 in the Midway Community. Married Claudia Cebelius Tesh 7 Mar 1913 at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church where the bride had been a member since she was 13.
They lived on the farm purchased and paid for by Claudia Tesh prior to marriage. It was the Elisa Raper farm, adjoining her father's. She had rented his farm for a number of years, 115 acres, and in the fall of 1909 it became available to purchase and she grabbed it. She was determined to pay the $4000. debt before marriage, without help from her fiance, and it was paid in full early winter of 1913. Following their March marriage, they built a beautiful white 11 room colonial home and barn and outbuildings. Unfortunately, David contracted a 2 yr illness which culminated in his death just 7 years after marriage. He died 30 Dec 1919. On 19 Jan 1920 Mary Magdalene Berrier was born.
