Virgil Myers Adamson passed away March 2, 2007 in the American Fork Hospital at the age of 92. He was born July 19, 1914 in Highland, Utah to David Hutchison Adamson and Jessie Diantha Myers Adamson. He was the seventh child in a close-knit and loving family of ten children. Virgil graduated from American Fork High School after which he spent two years working in the Civil Conservation Corps in the Duchesne Moon Lake area. On his return home he married Helen Gardner, August 15, 1936 in Provo, Utah. On February 12, 1959, their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Dad worked for Utah Poultry for 35 years and also worked for American Fork City for ten years before retiring in 1980. He loved farming and working with animals and took great pride in his huge garden and beautiful flowers. He had a strong testimony and served faithfully in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints including seven years as a temple worker in the Provo and Mount Timpanogos Temples. Virgil is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen, son Edwin (Ted), daughter-in-law Sherilyn, 4 grandchildren, Russell (Barbara) Adamson, Shawna (Brett) Nattress, Angella (Eric) Vernon, and Jeana (Corwin) Harmon, 19 great-grandchildren, brother Keith (Ardell) and sister Afton Jacob. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nida Hall, Alta Nash and five brothers, Arnold, Mark, Clyde, LeGrande and Karl. Funeral, Friday, March 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hillcrest Stake Center, 170 N. 350 W., American Fork. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, American Fork City Cemetery.
