Earl Hadlock Woodbrey, 57, 822 W. 4th North, died Friday at 3:05 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of a heart ailment.
He was born in Balfor[sic], Colo., on Sept. 13, 1894, a son of James and Lucy Lavinia Averett Woodbrey. He married Althea L Winn in Las Vegas, Nev., on April 9, 1942.
Mr Woodbrey was employed by the Salt Lake Transportation Co., where he was president of the Yellow Cab and Bus Drivers Union and a member of the board of directors of the Yellow Cab Federal Credit Union of Salt Lake. He was a veteran of the Mexican War.
Survivors include his widow; a son, Vean R Woodbrey; three daughters: Mrs Dorothea Hansen and Mrs Alta McGuire, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs Yora Gene Rasmussen, Richfield; two sisters: Mrs Hattie Prince of Wendell, Ida.; Mrs Mae Cunningham, Sacramento, Cal., and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m., at 36 E 7th South, with Bishop Lester W Lees of the Twenty-eighth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, officiating. Friends may call at the address Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to services.
Burial will be in Salt Lake City Cemetery.
