Ernest Schostag was born in New Tirschtiegel Herzog Posen, Germany on September 27, 1845 and passed into the Great Beyond Saturday, May 8, 1937.
He was confirmed during his youth while still in Germany. After coming to the United States he spent a portion of his life in Superior and Columbus, Nebraska. Later he moved to California where he lived until 1929 when he was brought back because of declining health to the home of his
daughter, Mrs. William Meyer of Gregory, South Dakota.
It was here he passed away May 8 at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 11 days. He leaves to mourn his departure his daughter, Mrs. H. H. William Meyer of Gregory, South Dakota.
Interment took place at Mound Prairie cemetery , Goehner, Nebraska, May 11, 1937.
Rev. Otto Baumann, pastor of Goehner Frieden's Evangelical church, officiated.
