William Eugene "Gene" Medley was the son of Ruby Anna Dowell and George Raymond Medley.
Brother to Donald Irvin Medley, George Marvin Medley, and Judy Medley Jackson.
Gene was a life-long farmer and loved the outdoors – whether managing and working his beloved farm, hunting in his woods or fishing in his numerous ponds. He was a member of Buck Grove Baptist Church and attended faithfully throughout the years. He loved his family with all his heart and was a true believer in them achieving all that they could in life. He lived a life well spent filled with both joy and hard work with a boundless energy and selflessness that was an example to all that knew him.
Gene married Diane L. Bennett on July 14, 1973. To this union four children were born, Rachel Medley Corum (1975), Eugene Medley, Leah Medley Schmiedt (1984), and Rebekah Medley Doran (1989).
Five grandchildren, Will Corum, Watts Corum, Ben Corum, Olivia Medley, and Luke Medley.
Mr. Medley's funeral was held at Buck Grove Baptist Church.
