Early Life: Kent was born March 4, 1949, in American Fork, Utah, to Leo William and Golda Cunningham Gurney.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Kent was a mountain of a man and an accomplished athlete. He was a captain of the American Fork football, basketball and track teams, and went on to play football for the University of Utah. Kent loved the outdoors, adores his grandkids, and loved to go to all of the kid's games. Kent Richard Gurney, 68, loving father and grandfather, lost his battle with cancer on August 14, 2017.
Survived By: His loving wife, Deon Shaw Gurney; his daughters: April Gurney Weese, Kim Gurney Howa, Amy Gurney Fredrickson and Heather Gurney Bayless; his sons: Bill Gurney, Howard Gurney and Gabe Gurney. Kent loved his twenty grandchildren beyond measure.
