Elizabeth Weindel-Allaby, 80, of 5300 Post Rd. died Thursday at the Berntwood Nursing Home, Warwick, after a two-year illness. She was the wife of Edwin T. Allaby. She was the widow of Leonard F. Weindel.
Born in Eldora, Iowa, a daughter of the late Louis T. and Nettie T. (Carpenter) Haven, she lived in East Greenwich most of her life.
Mrs. Weindel-Allaby was a teacher in the one-room Tibbitt School, Frenchtown Road, for two terms. She was a member of the Rhode Island Farmer's Bureau Homemakers Group and a member of the Quidnessett Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for more than 25 years.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son, two stepsons, a brother, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
