Six weeks after Lucy was born in 1902, Anna passed away in 1903 and was buried in the Lone Elm Cemetery in Custer County Nebraska. Oliver and John Edward were given to Herbert Baker's 1/2 sister Melissa McConnell McBride Patterson. Melissa was married to John L McBride at the time, but the boys were not adopted and given the McBride name until after John L. McBride passed away. Later Melissa married several times with Walter Patterson being the last.
