The deceased was born July 12, 1876, at Wilton, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Angerer. On April 10, 1900, she was married to Matthew C. Foley at Wilton. They farmed near Hills, Iowa until 1934, when they moved to the Belle Plaine community.
Mrs. Foley is survived by five sons, Leo, Detroit, Joseph, Davenport, Raymond, Matthew and James, Belle Plaine; three daughters, Cecilia Digney, Phoenix, Sister Marian Therese, Davenport, and Sister Mary Corrine, Des Moines; nineteen grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, John and Herbert.
Services were held from St. Michael's Catholic Church Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1968, with the Rev. Father F.J. Schmidt officiating. Casket bearers were Leo Angerer, Edward Ryan, George Angerer, Vincent Angerer, Joseph Ryan and Kent Angerer.
Priests attending the funeral included Monsignor Stemm, Blairstown, Father Charles Pheian, Father Gerald Stessman and Father Richard Guebbels, Des Moines.
