The following obituary has been furnished this newspaper:

Minnie Mary Scott, daughter of Joseph and Sarah Baldock, was born near Evona, in Gentry county, April 27, 1871, and passed away May 29 at the age of 81 years, one month and two days. Mrs. Scott was a lifelong resident of Gentry county. At an early age she was converted and united with the Methodist church of Evona.

On Dec. 22, 1892, she was united in marriage to Fred Oler Scott and to this union was born five children, one of whom, a daughter, died at the age of 4. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband who died June 2, 1948; [sic] Also two sisters, Mrs. Maude Scott and Mrs. Kittie Smith, and one brother, Richard Baldock.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Lowary of Albany and Mrs. Berthia [sic] Scott [sic] of Spickard, Mo., and two sons, Roy Scott of Darlington and Joe Scott of Ottawa, Kan.; one sister, Mrs. Ella Stevenson of Albany; 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.
