On May 17, 1905 James Thompson married Miss Naomi Arnold in Livingston Parish, Louisiana. The couple would bring four beautiful daughters and one strapping son into the world between 1905 and 1921. There is confusion on the year of the son's birth. He doesn't appear on the 1920 census but other government documents support the 1919 birth date.
It was not long after the birth of their son when the couple decided to go their separate ways, each to make new lives for themselves.
James died in West Monroe, Ouachita Parksh, Louisiana in 1959. The disposition of his remains is unknown.
