He was employed as a correction officer at Northampton County Prison in Easton, PA, for 22 years, until retiring in 1990. Prior to that, Roy was employed with his father and uncles at Buskirk Brothers Painting. Roy was a 1947 graduate of Bangor High School. He was of the Lutheran faith and served as a former Boy Scout Leader in Bangor.
Survivors: Roy is survived by a son, Roy M. Buskirk, Jr., and his wife Bonnie, of Bangor, PA; a daughter, Louann Moyer and her husband Leo, of Ft. Myers, FL, 2 grandsons Scott and Todd Moyer, 3 great grandchildren Ryan and Tyler Moyer and Lydia Cam, and many nieces and nephews. Roy was preceded in death by a sister Berniece Hughes and a niece Linda Hughes.
