Kenneth Howard Ames, 70, of Sandwich, IL, formerly of Yorkville, IL, passed away Friday, March 2, 2007 in Sandwich Rehabilitation and Care Center in Sandwich. He was born August 22, 1936 in Chicago, IL the son of Howard and Lois (Luker) Ames. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Panama. Before retiring, he worked at Johnson and Johnson in Lemont, IL for over 30 years.

He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Randy) Pieroni of Plainfield, IL and Laura Ames of Hermosa Beach, CA; two grandchildren, Max Cadena and Ayden Ames; and a special friend, Kevin Phillips who was like a son to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

According to Kenneth's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Memorials may be directed to Fox Valley Older Adults Services of Sandwich, IL. Local arrangements were entrusted to Turner-Eighner Funeral Home.
