Mrs. Madeline Poe Lashley, 76, of LaFayette, AL died Wednesday, 9 Aug 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, 12 Aug 2017 at the Antioch Baptist Church in LaFayette with burial in the Church Cemetery with Rev Randall Hamer and Rev Ken Tankersley officiating.
Mrs. Lashley was born in Chambers County, AL on 1 Apr 1941 to the late John Wilfred Poe, Jr and the late Rubye Singer Poe, she was a member of the Center Baptist Church and was retired from Tallapoosa River Electric Cooperative after 35 years of service.
She is survived by 2 children, LeAnn (Alan) Hurd of Newnan, GA, Robert Leon "Chip" Lashley, Jr. of LaFayette, AL; 1 sister, Debby (Crue) Gleaton of LaFayette, AL; 2 grandchildren, Kyle Lashley and Makaley Hurd.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Leon Lashley.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church and from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Church prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Center Baptist Church 2511 County Road 33 LaFayette, AL 36862.
