Frank L. Sullivan, 95, of Springfield died at 1:41 pm, Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at his home. He was born October 19, 1921, in Springfield to Frank L. and Hazel (Newberry) Sullivan. He married Alice Marie Wheeler on October 2, 1948, and she preceded him in death on October 20, 2012.

Surviving are five children, Pam (Dwayne) Brister of Littleton, CO, Mark (Michelle) Sullivan, Gary (Julie) Sullivan, and Sharon (Paul) Robertson, all of Springfield and John (Brigitte) Sullivan of Mary Esther, FL; beloved dog, Imogene; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Iris Domke and Violet Sullivan.

Frank was a member of St. Agnes Church. He was a resident of Hickory Glen for the past four years. He loved playing cards, especially Bridge and Pinochle, watching western movies, traveling and spending time with his family. Mr. Sullivan was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II. He retired from the State of Illinois Department of Revenue and previously had worked at Swift Company for over 30 years.

Visitation: 9-10:45 am Thursday, August 17, 2017 at St. Agnes Church.

Funeral Mass: 11:00 am, Thursday, August 17, 2017 at St. Agnes Church with Reverend Robert Jallas officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
