Died -- Feb'y 26, 1885, in Chicago, Mrs. Mary E Earl, wife of W. F. Earl, in her 53d year. Funeral services were held at the residence, by Rev J Patton of Ada Street M E Church, thence by carriages to Forest Home Cemetery, where she was laid to rest. The deceased was a great sufferer for twelve years from asthma, dropsy and disease of the heart. She was a member of the M. E. Church for nearly thirty years. She was fully resigned to pass beyond and feared only the death struggle, yet happy in the assurance that her Redeemer liveth, and falling asleep died without a struggle. Mrs. Earl's life was that of an exemplary christian, and she leaves an example worthy of imitation by her devoted husband and three affectionate children who survive her.
