I am a professional genealogist & have done extensive research on the Averill's.

Someone has incorrectly listed Hannah Jackson Kendrick (memorial 114265324) as the wife of William Averill, without doing research to verify this is correct. In turn, now numerous family trees are incorrect because people just took this as being true without verifying it.

Hannah Jackson Kendrick was not the wife of William Averill. His wife was Hannah Jackson, but not the same one who married Elijah Kendrick.

Hannah Jackson & William Averill were married July 31, 1661. They had 14 kids from 1662-1682. If you look at Hannah Kendricks page, it shows that her & Elijah Kendrick had two daughters born in 1670 & 1672. At this time, Hannah and William had a son named Isaac born in 1671 & son Thomas born in 1672 plus six more children born after Thomas (and six born before Isaac in 1671)! Elijah Kendrick died in 1680, the same year William and Hannah's son, Isaac, was born. (There were two sons named Isaac; one died young & the second one was his namesake).

In order for Hannah to be married to Elijah Kendrick, she would of had to of been married to William at the same time, giving birth to children in both Essex County & Middlesex County.

Also, Hannah Jackson Kendrick remarried on April 7, 1682, to John Hyde in Middlesex County. William Averill did not die until 1691. So, again, in order for Hannah Jackson Hendrick to be married to William Averill, she would of also been married to John Hyde at the same time.
