Albert Carroll "Hap" McFatridge, 75, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at York Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene, 400 Stillmeadow Lane in York, with a visitation from 6-7 p.m. Pastor Gregory Lloyd will be officiating at the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements.

Burial will be private at his parent's gravesite in Stewartstown.

Hap was born in Stewartstown on August 2, 1942, the son of Lawrence and Daisy (Quesenberry) McFatridge.

He attended Kennard-Dale High School. and then joined the Army in 1961, serving three years as a supply clerk as well as other duties. After his discharge he began a career with AMP, Inc/Tyco Industries, retiring after 30 years.
Hap attended Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene. He purchased a boat and spent much time on the Susquehanna River at Long Level. Being single he lived a life of leisure, attending races at Lincoln and Williams Grove Speedways and working part-time in the novelty stand. He had a passion for collecting model racing and sprint cars.
Each year he always purchased a season ticket to Hershey Park in which he used often. Over the years, he was a member of many clubs, which included: York County Racing Club, 9th Ward, 13th Ward, Prince Athletic Club, Vigilant Social Club, South End Club, Viking A.A., Hawk's Gunning Club, and Pleasureville American Legion. He was a season ticket holder and avid York Revolution Fan. Along with this he found time to do occasional volunteer work. He also enjoyed shooting pool in several leagues in York, in which he received many trophies.

He leaves two brothers, Terry L. McFatridge and his wife, Marian of York and Lawrence D. McFatridge and his wife, Gladys of Stewartstown; nieces and nephews.
