Alma O. 'Wilson' Burton Crumbaugh, age 103 of Chilhowee, MO, died at Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, on Thursday, September 04, 2014. Alma was born on June 18, 1911 in Blairstown, MO, the daughter of William H. and Lenora A. 'Lotspeich' Wilson. She lived in the Chilhowee community all her life. She was a proud graduate of Chilhowee School, the class of 1930. Alma worked for Doaks Grocery store for many years. For over 50 years, Alma was a member of the Chilhowee United Methodist Church. She worked hard at the Chilhowee fair in her prime and was an active member of the Senior Citizens. Alma was proud of her community and loved it. Alma was very fortunate to have had two loving husbands and companions. Her first husband was Wilbert A. Burton, who died in January, 1959 and her second husband was Francis M. Crumbaugh, who died in February, 1985. Surviving Alma is a distant cousin, Linda Shipley; and special friends, Lois Morrison, Sammy Cook Pemberton, Helen Ficke, Barbara Wallace and the Hilsabeck sisters. Preceding her in death were her parents and two husbands. Under the direction of Consalus Funeral Home, Clinton, a graveside service is scheduled for Monday, September 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Carpenter Cemetery, Chilhowee, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Chilhowee United Methodist Church and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735. Condolences may be left online at this website.
