Timothy Albert Reusch, 58, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thurs. 13 July 2017, at the Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN., of a rare lung rejection.
He leaves his wife of 40 years, Lori (Gross) Reusch; his mother, Margaret (Bock) Reusch; his son, Nathan Reusch (his companion, Kim Grzeslo) & her children, Cameron Schueder, Bryce & Michael Grzeslo; his daughter, April (Casey) Lillefloren; his son, David Reusch, the one accepted as a son, James Cox; grandchildren, Nathaniel & Carson Reusch, Alexzander Lillefloren, Jonathan Reusch; his siblings; & many more family members & close friends.
Born in LeMars, IA., the son of Albert & Margaret (Bock) Reusch. He was a lifelong resident of Meridan, IA.
Between 1996 & 1997, Tim worked around the clock building the families new home while continuing his lifelong occupation of driving truck. He drove for Hy-Vee 28 years, about reaching 2 million miles when he was diagnosed with Alpha-antitrypsin deficiency & retired shortly after being diagnosed.
One of Tim's passion was having family time & sharing what he loved with all around him. In 1989, his family became members of Hart Ranch in Rapid City, SD. He said he wanted this to be a place to call home away from home & share with his kids who could then share the experience with their families. It has become an annual ritual for the whole family to enjoy time there together, sometimes including friends in the trips.
Tim was a lifelong fisherman with endless fishing trips with friends & family. Younger years he kept a fishing pole in the trunk for those 'just in case I drive past some water on the way' moments. He said fishing allowed him to let go of everything around him & be at peace. In the latter years he was able to out quite frequently with his sister, Peggy Jackson & grinned from ear to ear with excitement.
Another passion of Tim's was tinkering & fixing everything he could get his hands on. Between 1999 & 2000, he wanted to recreate his suburban into a dually suburban. This was accomplished with his brother, Randy Reusch, sons, & his nephews.
Tim was meticulous with anything he put his mind to & worked hard to accomplish everything he dreamed of in life.
If he was here right now he would tell you to live each day as if it were your last. Tell those around you that you love them & embrace the moments with them.
