Margaret Frances (Abraham) Alent, 83, of Ubly, passed away peacefully Monday, July 26, 2010 at her residence with her family by her side under hospice care. She was born March 4, 1927 in Bad Axe, daughter of the late August and Otylia (Uller) Abraham. She married Chester Clemens Alent on June 24, 1947 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1993.

Margaret was an eighth grade graduate of the MacMillan School. She worked at Active Industries for 37 years, retiring in 1992. She was a parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville, where she was a member of the choir and a member and former officer of the St. Mary Rosary Sodality. Margaret was a former member of the Ruth VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved listening to polkas, especially hearing her son Paul play them on his accordion. She enjoyed playing euchre, cooking, camping, bingo, quilting and gardening. She will be sadly missed by all of us.

Beloved mom to Georgiann Chinoski and her husband, James; Paul Alent and his wife, Shelly; Barbara Glaza and her husband, Clifford; Joseph Alent and his wife, Sylvia; Brenda Kincaid and her husband, Alan; Jodi Wright and her husband, Charles; awesome grandma to Angel, Matthew, Travis, Melissa, Nicole, Devon, Chad, Kirk, Adam, Brent, Maxx, Tina, Kelly, Carly, Jessi, Jeffrey and Abby; precious great-grandma to Alex, Lauren, Ryan, Olivia, Hailey, Freddie, Gavin, Natalie, Mayah, Kenzie, Carter and Joel; special sister to Rita Shaw, Molly Depcinski and August Abraham and his wife, Agnes.
