William ‘Bill’ Arthur Mills, 61, Logansport, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at his residence. Born Nov. 12, 1951, in Merced, Calif., he was the son of Gilbert and Goldie (Hoffman) Mills. On April 12, 1990, in Louisville, Ky., he married Lola E. Hasting, who survives.

He was a manager of environmental engineering for Brillion Iron Works, Brillion, Wis. He loved his work and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee.

Surviving along with his wife is one son, Christopher Hasting and Andrea Gochenour, Logansport; three granddaughters, Alysia, Alexis and Alyson; father, Gilbert Mills, West Middleton; two brothers, Bob (Sue) Mills, Tallahassee, Fla., and Barry Mills; two sisters, Joy Mills, El Paso, Texas, and Jamie (Mark) Buckalew, Kokomo; three brothers-in-law, Wayne Jones, Niceville, Fla., Dennis (Barbara) Hasting, Newburg, and Lynn Hasting, Kokomo; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Taz and Snuff.

He was preceded in death by his mother Goldie Mills and one sister, Jackie Jones.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Gundrum Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Marks officiating. Burial will be in Crooked Creek Cemetery, Royal Center.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
