Mrs. Mary Vivian "Rusty" Snook Mahoney
Mrs. Mary Vivian "Rusty" Snook Mahoney, age 83, of Madison, Indiana formerly of Bedford, Kentucky entered this life on August 20, 1933 in Henry County, Kentucky near Campbellsburg. She was the loving daughter of the late Harvey and O'Bera Clifton Snook. She was raised in Henry County and Shelby County Kentucky and graduated from Bagdad High School. She worked early in life as a telephone operator for Bell South Phone Company in Shelbyville, Kentucky. She was known by her family as Rusty and will be fondly remembered by her family. Vivian was baptized in the Christian faith. On January 21, 1956 Vivian was united in marriage to William Gayle Mahoney in Clark County, Indiana. This happy union of 51 years was blessed with sons, Jerry and Gary. Vivian was a devoted wife, loving mom and grandma. She enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening, sewing, quilting, raising flowers and being with her family. Vivian died on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 8:03 a.m. at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Vivian will be missed by her loving sons, Jerry Mahoney of Bedford, Kentucky, Gary Mahoney and his wife, Jill Bouma of Berea, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Steven, April, Jeremy, Jessica, and Donald; her ten great grandchildren; her sister in law, Geneva Barnes and her husband, Leon of Milton, Kentucky; her brother in law, Cline Mahoney of Indianapolis, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Snook, her mother, O'Bera Clifton Snook, her husband of 51 years, William Gayle Mahoney, died May 28, 2007, her granddaughter, Jennifer, and her sister, Nancy Hambrick.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Bob Leach at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Mahoney Cemetery near Bedford, Kentucky

Friends may call Monday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
