Bliss Everett Edwards was born on July 13, 1922 at his family’s homestead in Kirbyville. He was the son of Manford Lee Edwards and Clara Alberta (Blackwell) Edwards. Bliss finished the eighth grade and worked at his family’s farm. He married Blonnie Workman on March 6, 1953 in Forsyth, Missouri. Bliss and Blonnie later moved to Kingsdown, Kansas where Bliss was a farmer and rancher at B Bar Ranch. He was also a registered Hereford cattle breeder. When they retired they moved back to Taney County from Kansas, thirty-three years ago. Bliss enjoyed going to auctions and gardening.Bliss entered into rest on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his home in Forsyth. He was 95 years old.Bliss was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Blonnie; one brother, Hayden Edwards and sisters Marguerite Moore, Bonte Ragland, Betty Coffelt, Angie Fausett and Ada Swift.Bliss is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory in Branson with Pastor Scott Coffelt officiating. Burial will follow in Edwards Cemetery, Kirbyville. Visitation will be Friday, August 4, 2017 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
