Betty Johnson 83 of Lorenzo passed away Tuesday August 1, 2017 in Lubbock Texas.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 5, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church of Lorenzo. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo. A visitation will be held Friday August 4, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

Betty was born December 16, 1933 in Robertson Texas to Marvin and Jesse Wheeler Aycock. She received her Master degree in Library Science and taught school in the Lorenzo Independent School District for twenty years. Betty was a very independent person who also loved her family more than anything else, they meant everything to her. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.


Betty is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Alexia Keith, and a brother Donald Aycock.

Betty is survived by two granddaughters; Amanda Keith of Lubbock, and Katrina Keith of College Station, a grandson; Christopher Keith of Haskell, a brother; Wendell Aycock of Lubbock, a sister Mary Webb of Georgia, and three great- grandchildren; Joshua and Emily Knight and Phoenix Hillhouse.
