James D. Boucher, age 81, passed away July 28, 2017. Webster City Iowa, where he was born, always remained dear to his heart.

Jim is a veteran of the United States Army.

He retired from the Joliet Police Department at the rank of Sergeant in Investigations. He then served with the Naperville Police Department as a Community Service Officer.

Jim enjoyed helping neighbors with all types of things from yardwork to home repairs. He was friendly and always willing to give a helping hand.

He is survived by four children, Kimberly, James (Carla) Boucher, Roberta (Rick) Mitok, Scott (Lisa) Gregorich; his step-daughter, Alexandra (Crittenden) Lewis; four grandchildren, Kara, Dana, Hannah and Nolan Boucher; his sisters, Shirley Knoll, Marion Eccles; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (nee Frescura) Boucher; his parents, James K. and Stella A. (Munson) Boucher; his brother, Robert Boucher; and sisters, Virginia Thompson, Myrtle Grove, Betty Knoll, Margaret Dakin, Ruth Caquelin and Merna Smith.

Arrangements entrusted to the Carlson- Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home and Crematory, Joliet.

Inurnment: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
