Lora Evelyn Miller, 89, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed from this life Monday, July 31, 2017. Lora was born in Douglas, Arizona on December 23, 1927, to Vivian Bass and Marjorie (McDonald) Bass.

Finding the love of her life, Lora was married to Riley W. “Bill” Miller on January 6, 1945, in New Mexico. They enjoyed more than 68 years of marriage prior to his death in 2014.

Preceding Lora in death was her parents Vivian and Marjorie Bass and Rollin Johnson; husband Riley Miller; son Rollin Miller; and brother King Johnson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. A celebration of life for Lora will be Friday, August 4, 2017, 11:00am, in the Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service Chapel. Lora was born in Douglas, Arizona on December 23, 1927, to Vivian Bass and Marjorie (McDonald) Bass. Finding the love of her life, Lora was married to Riley W. “Bill” Miller on January 6, 1945, in New Mexico. They enjoyed more than 69 years of marriage prior to his death in 2014. Lora was an avid reader. Give her a good book and she was happy. For most of her working life, Lora was employed by the United States Postal System. Making time to be with her beloved family was always in order for Lora. Having a great love for the Western culture, Lora read, studied and collected artifacts that symbolized the West. Her memory was excellent and staying in touch with her family was important to her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and aunt. Her beautiful smile and great attitude will be missed by both family and friends.

Lora is survived by her sister Darnetta Brown; nieces Jody Cox and husband Tommy, Kimberely Wallington, Janie Howard, and Debbie Miller Curtiss; nephews Keith and Kevin Johnson and Lindell Brown; special cousins Marjorie Faye Eyle, Aimee Dickinson, and Glenda Sours; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
