Barbara Jean Carpino Williams, 81, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 29, 2017 in Battle Creek. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Barbara worked at Magnavox for 20 years and as a nurse with Parkview Hospital retiring in 2002. She also worked at Macy's and Kohl's, after retirement. She enjoyed jazz music, gardening, cooking and going to the casinos. Barbara was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football, tennis and basketball. She was a member of Compassionate Friends in Fort Wayne, Surviving are her children, Linda (Dan Replogle) Farrer. Cynthia (Derrick) Moore, Krissi Williams, John (Julia) Chapman, Vince (Renee) Williams; grandchildren, Tiffany Chapman, Ericka Farrer, Natalie Williams, Randon Moore, Nic and Austin Chapman, Jordan "JoJo" and former husband Henry Chapman. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Martha F Carpino, daughter, Dawn R Chapman, son, Randall A Chapman, and a granddaughter, Alexis Farrer, son-in-law Bill Farrer and former husband Charles F Williams, long time friend, jazz musician, Bob Green.
