8th child of George Henry Watson & Amanda Sansom, Jack was a brakeman for the railroad which took him across country. He migrated west during his lifetime and settled in California.

He married 1) Gladys Marie McLain & had issue: Charles Eugene Watson (1925), an attorney & judge, & Patsy Ruth Watson (1927), a nurse, born in Kansas or Oklahoma.

He married 2) Lavona Webber, a railroad "Harvey Girl." Issue: Lelani May Watson (1938) & William Gene Watson (1939), both born in Los Angeles.

He died in Tijuana, Mexico seeking unsuccessful cancer treatment.
