Graveside services, with Military graveside rites, and interment for Mr. Cleave C. Beshea, age 83, will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Springhill Cemetery with Rev. Bill Lott officiating. Services will be under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Mr. Beshea was born on October 16, 1933 to Charlie A. and Bertie Lee Stiles Beshea in Springhill, LA and passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 in Plain Dealing, LA. He was a lifelong resident of this area, veteran of the U. S. Army and a retired power plant operator at International Paper Company with 32 years of service.

For over 20 years, Papa and Mama enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with Lewis and Bea Dunigan, Cleo and Verna Paul and Persney and Sue Wesson - even though the ladies always won. Papa also loved working with horses and cattle. Spending time with his grandchildren, camping, ball playing and just hanging out was priceless.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth "Beth" Taylor Beshea; three daughters, Jan May and husband, Billy of Stamps, AR, Judith Stiles McGuffey of Plain Dealing, LA, JoEllen Gish and husband, Todd of Springhill, LA; three sons, Cleave C. Beshea, Jr. of Springhill, LA, Calvin Roy Beshea of Sarepta, LA, Christopher Alan Beshea of Springhill, LA; eleven grandchildren, Chastity, Joni, Cheri, Melissa, Melanie, Clay, Amanda, Ruben, Anna Claire, Kaleb and Joshua; eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rita Velasquez of Sterlington, LA; Melba Keeling of Shreveport, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Beshea was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Evelyn Martin; Betty Eason and Martha Key; brother, Billy Ray Beshea.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kaleb Gish, Joshua Gish, Jeff Waller, Ruben Beshea, Gary Millican, Wes Pierce, Clay Nugent, Dustin Waller, Eli Pierce, Mason May, Jerry Wesson and Rev. Cleo Paul.

The family would like to Thank the Whispering Pines Nursing Home staff, especially all of the CNA's, the Regional Hospice Group, Dr. Lococo and Dr. Patton.
