Ethel worked for many years at the Vasa Children's Home in Red Wing, Minnesota, where she cared for children with mental disabilities.
Her compassionate and gentle nature was evident to all who knew her. She enjoyed dancing, playing card and board games, and was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Jensen Beach.
Survivors include her daughters Donna Mann Beach and Montana (Steve) Turner, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters; Ruth (Dick) Michaelis, Judy (Jon) Greene and Kay (Joe) Fitterer, all of Minnesota.
She was predeceased by husband George Mallan, Sr., husband Vern Dahling, husband John Lee, son George Mallan, Jr. and 5 brothers.
A private service will be held at Solaris in Stuart. A Celebration of Life service will also take place this summer in Minnesota.
