BLANCHE L. (BETTY) ACTKINSON passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008. She was born on June 8, 1922 in Livingston, New Jersey and is survived by her husband Ray of 61 years, sons, Keith of Dallas, Texas, Scott, his wife Ann, two grandsons, Blake and Michael, all of Houston, and sister, Norma White of Neptune, New Jersey. Betty served as a first lieutenant RN in the Army Nurse Corps in WW II in France and Germany in a field hospital with the 3rd Army. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 12, 2008 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the charity of your choice or to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, New York, 10018; phone 212-923-4700.
