PLYMOUTH-Grover C. Morris Jr., (also know as Dad, Merc, and Brother), passed away in his home on July 22, 2017. He was 60 years old at the time of his death.

Grover was known as a great man of God, an amazing basketball player, graduating from Oregon-Davis High School as one of the best players in his time, a loving father figure and loving husband, friend, helper and most of all a proud grandpa. He never knew a stranger.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 42 years, Patricia (Stamper) Morris; daughters, Tiffany (Ryan) Delk and Traci (Derick) Fisher; his only grandson, Tyson James Fisher, who was his pride and joy. Also surviving are his brother, Jerry (Penny) Morris; sisters, Debbie (Dennis) Goble and Betty Barnett; one step-brother, Ken Landrie; and many nieces and nephews, including Kaydence Spencer, who he loved as his own.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Blanche (Sue) Morris; his father, Grover C. Morris; his grandmother; grandfather; and several aunts and uncles.

Grover lived most of his life in Plymouth, IN where he worked for the Plymouth Water Department and Coca Cola. He owned several businesses throughout his years and was a dedicated evangelist/ minister, who baptized many people in Jesus' name. He was a man of God who loved to play the drums and sing. He was a part of several bands, using his talents for the Lord. He loved to ride motorcycles with his wife, especially cruising Bass Lake, going to yard sales and restoring furniture until he was no longer able. Grover loved the Chicago Cubs and made it to see them win the World Series.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. EDT at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel, where visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. EDT.
