Sister Louista Brausen ST. JOSEPH Sister Louista Brausen, 65, died Monday at St. Cloud Hospital. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Benedict's Convent Chapel. Burial will be in the convent cemetery. Friends may call after 7 tonight and 8 a.m. Thursday at the convent. A wake service will be at 7 tonight at the convent. Sister Louista Brausen was born Aug. 12, 1922, in Buckman to Henry and Elizabeth (Mueller) Brausen. She entered St. Benedict's Convent June 16, 1948, made her first vows July 11, 1949, and final vows July 11, 1952. She spent 35 years in food service at St. Benedict's Convent; St. Benedict's Center, St. Cloud Hospital and St. Anthony's, St. Cloud; White Earth and Bluffton before retiring in 1985. Survivors include brothers and sisters, Henry, Little Falls; Alphonse, Osseo; Gertrude Kollmann, Cold Spring; Marjorie Schreifels, St. Cloud; and Beatrice Schreifels, Fridley. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
