Beattyville, KY- Mavis Moore, age 87, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 in Richmond, KY at the Baptist Health Center.
Mavis was born January 29, 1930 in Heidelberg, KY, a daughter to the late Elijah and Oda (Goosey) Addison. Mavis was a homemaker and a member of the Cressmont Baptist Church.
Mavis is survived by one son; Oscar (Carolyn) Moore of Beattyville, KY, Three daughters; Nancy Moore, Henrietta (Tom) Durbin, Billie Sue Mays, all of Beattyville, KY, Two brothers; Bobbie Addison of Orlando, FL, Elijah Addison Jr. of Brandenburg, KY, Six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, along with many other loving family members and friends.
Along with her parents; Elijah and Oda Addison, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years ; Alfred Moore, one son; Orville Lee Moore, one sister; Jean Addison Wilson, and one brother; Donnie Addison
Visitation will be held Wednesday July 26, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Booneville Funeral Home. Services will be held on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at 12:00 at the Moore Family Cemetery with Rev. Wendell Brandenburg officiating. Mavis will be laid to rest in the Moore Family Cemetery in Lee County, KY.
