OBITUARY

Miss Sarah Caroline Beasley was born in Missouri, September 23, 1841, and died at Gilbert Idaho, March 10, 1912, aged 70 years, 5 months and 16 days.  She was united in marriage to Mr. Francis Rowland March 8, 1860.

She was bereaved by the loss of her husband who died July 25, 1883.

In 1884 she was married to Mr. David McCurry who still survives her.  Of the first union there was born nine children, as follows:  Emma Williams; Newton, James, William and Francis Rowland; Alice and Mabel Vanderpool; Ellen Harris, and Gertrude Denny.

Deceased gave herself to God in early youth, joining the Baptist church at the age of 18, and remained a member of that organization and a conscientious Christian until the day of her death.

For nearly eight years she was an invalid, having suffered a stroke of paralysis, and about six months before her derath she had the misfortune to fall and break her hip, and owing to her advanced age she never recovered from this injury.

Although for years suffering under the heavy hand of affliction she was ever patient and resigned, and while willing to live, yet ready to go at the Master's bidding.  Her Christian fortitude and Godly spirit was a benediction to all, and a source of consolation to the bereaved ones.  Let us cherish her Christian virtues, seek to gain her implicit faith, and so live that we may meet her in that better world to come.
Religious services were conducted by the Rev. J. N. DePartee, Gilbert, Idaho.
