Emeline Marie Pearl Hockett, born December 11, 1926 - February 5, 2012. Emeline, 85, died peacefully at home, February 5, 2012.

Emeline was the daughter of Pearl (Peterson) Seeley and Edwin McVicker in Vancouver, Washington.

She was the youngest of three children. Sister, Lethagene (McVicker) Anderson and brother Dewayne McVicker. Emeline held various jobs throughout her life but the highlight was being a foster parent to 13 children and retired as a nanny. Emeline enjoyed camping, fishing, bingo and playing Pinochle with family and friends.

Emeline is survived by four sons and two daughters; Gerald Swearengin of Fort Worth, Texas, Chuck Price of Casper, Wyoming, Rick Grant of Hockinson, Washington, Mariealana (Swearengin) Hirata of La Center, Washington, Hans Rosengreen of Battle Ground, Washington, and Ellen (Rosengreen) Ricker of Washougal, Washington; sixteen grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and her poodle Sammy.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother, sister, husband, and 1 great-grandchild.

Emeline had a heart of gold and will be missed dearly. There will be a viewing at Vancouver Funeral Chapel, 110 E. 12th, Vancouver, Washington 98660 on Thursday February 9, 2012 from 9am to 5pm; the funeral will be held on Friday February 10, 2012 at 1pm at Vancouver Funeral Chapel followed by the burial at Northwood Park Cemetery at 2 pm, 16407 North East Union Ridgefield, Washington 98642.
