HENRY HYGH SR. was the son of Henderson Hygh and Mrs. Susan "Susie" (Black) Hygh.

He was the grandson of Mrs. Wennie Williams.

HENRY HYGH SR. was laid to rest on August 11, 1973 on the grounds of Antioch Cemetery in Leigh, Texas.

He preceded his wife in death.

Obituary
"Funeral services for HENRY HYGH SR., of Karnack, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Antioch Baptist Church, in Leigh, with the Rev. Calvin Ruffin officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Mr. Hygh died Monday in Marshall Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy illness. The son of Henderson and Susie Black Hygh, he was a lifelong resident of Harrison County, and he attended Harrison County public schools. He was married to Mrs. Mary V. Buchanan Hygh. A retired farmer, he was secretary of Masonic Lodge Carver No. 557 and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary V. Hygh, of Karnack; two sons, Henry Hygh Jr. and Willie F. Hygh, both of Karnack; seven grandchildren; and a number of nephews and nieces."
