On July 8, 1995, in the wonderful state of Guanajuato, Our Heavenly Father blessed us all with his beautiful son Edgar Contreras. With his loving mother Maria Guadalupe, and supporting stepfather Martin Gamez, Edgar came to California and made their way to Guadalupe, CA where Edgar was surrounded with love from many friends and family. He was a caring brother to his two younger siblings Diego and Karen, and made sure his family was always taken care of. But Edgar didn't stop there, Edgar was so deeply full of love and compassion that he welcomed anyone and everyone to his home and did everything in his power to make sure everyone was taken care of.

One of the biggest blessings Edgar bestowed on us all was his smile. Edgar did everything with a smile on his face whether it was being with his friends, or watching Pokemon, but nothing made him light up more than when he had a soccer ball at his feet. Edgar loved to play soccer, rain or shine, and would break ankles in any match. Edgar's family grew with every game he played, he would respect and befriend anyone no matter what side of the field you played on. Teams from all over Santa Maria and the central coast had the privilege of working with Edgar, which helped mold him into the player and leader that he was. This encouraged Edgar to start his own team, and with the help of a few friends came Edgar's first soccer team R.P.O FC. Edgar took great pride in his team and they are now on their way to lead in first place.

Aside from dedicating his time to soccer, Edgar was a very hard and dedicated worker. Edgar worked at Hayward Lumber for about four years, and had plans of being a contractor some day. Like his parents, Edgar had such a great work ethic and put a lot of heart into his work. He was always trying to figure out things in his own, and would take on any challenge with an open mind and an open heart.

Along with Edgar came the love of his life and partner in crime, Danny George. Edgar and Danny met in 2010, Edgar 15 and Danny 14, at Righetti High School and that's where there love story began. Edgar and Danny were inseparable, their love was pure and true and they knew it from the start. Though they came from two different worlds, their hearts and their souls became one and they knew they were going to be partners for life. The two had been together for nearly seven years and were planning on getting married within the next year. Though their love story has come to halt for now, a love like theirs will never end and is to be continued when they meet again.

With a heart like Edgar's, it's no wonder why our Heavenly Father was so eager to have his son back in his kingdom. Edgar was truly a gift to us all, he was an amazing son, and loving brother, a fun and loyal friend, and a one of a kind boyfriend.
