Donnavere, 87, of Sumner, Michigan passed away in the early morning hours on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Arbor Grove Assisted Living in Alma.

Surrounded by her family she joins her husband, Gerald (Rusty) Rusmisel, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

Donnavere was born to Ray Nelson and Nina (Parks) Nelson. Donnavere was a hard working woman her whole life. She worked many jobs but the majority of her career and her retirement were from Masonic Home in Alma.

Donnavere loved music, dancing, hunting, camping, gardening, watching movies, and spending time with her family.

Donnavere is survived by her daughter Deborah (David) Zimmerman of St. Louis, granddaughters Tracie (Chad) Jones of Farwell, Candi (Mike) Panesi of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Misty Zimmerman of Mt. Pleasant, brothers Lowell (Adeline) Nelson of Florida and Clinton (Mabel) Nelson of Elwell. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw following the service.
