Vera Ernestine Wood, 80, of Merced died Friday at Mercy Medical Center, Dominican Campus.
Mrs. Wood was a native of Judsonia, Ark., and lived in Merced 61 years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Spier of Atwater, Kathleen Wood of Merced, Doug-las Wood of Stockton, Richard Wood of Bamburg, S.C., Dennis Wood of Newark, Thomas Michael Wood of Redwood City and David Wood of Redondo Beach; brothers, Ralph Waller of Merced and Dale Waller of Atwater; and 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Plainsburg Cemetery.
