Keith was born on March 31,1921 on the Frenchman Creek north of Hinsdale,Montana to John and Eleanor Mead Johnson. Keith attended the Genevive and Corrall Coulee school, and served two years in the U.S.Army during WWII in Italy and Austia.
When he returned from military duty he farmed and ranched the Johnson homestead on the Frenchman Creek.
On Dec 22nd 1962 he married his best friend Dorothy Sanderson in Drayton,N.D.
Keith died of cancer on April 9th,1992 at Glasgow Mahon Deaconess Hospital,Glasgow, Montana at the age of 71.
Survivors include his loving wife Dorothy, a son Tom of Saco, a daughter Linda(Miles)Hutton of Turner,and three sisters, Mary (Oswell) Owen of Charlo,MT.;Dorothy (Elden) Wigen of Spokane and Edith Arndt of Hinsdale,MT. Two daughters, Julie Ann Johnson and Mary Elizabeth Mattfeldt preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held in the Hinsdale Lutheran Church April 13,1992 at 10:A.M.with Pastor Susan Walton and Pastor John Flohr officiating. Burial was in the Hillview Cemetery at Hinsdale,MT.
Pallbears were;John Barton,Fred Mavencamp, Helmer Bakke, Oscar Sunford, John Arnold, Duane Berrisford and Harold Luraas.
Soloist were James Bowman and Eleanor Rosendahl.
