Age 58, of Channahon, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly, Saturday, July 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Joliet, and was a lifelong area resident.
Member of St. Ann Church, Channahon and formerly attended St. Dennis Church, Lockport. She was the treasurer at the Lockport VFW post #5788 Ladies Auxiliary. Wendy loved butterflies, collecting ceramic mice, but most of all cherished spending time with her family.
Preceded in death by her parents, John and Alzina Anderson; birth mother, Norma Gray; and in-laws, Leo and Louise Kelm.
Survived by her devoted husband, Larry; two children, Melissa (Christopher) Broadhead and Matthew Kelm; grandson, Seth; step-father, Victor Gray; sisters, Jacque (Bill), Brenda (Eddie), Nicki and Stacy (Tony); and one brother, Terry (Brenda). Numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
Services will be held, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 9:30 A.M. in the O’Neil Funeral Home chapel 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport to St. Dennis Church, Lockport for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet.
