Mr. Dane A. Basiger, 68 of Fairport Harbor, passed away July 20, 2017 at the David Simpson House of Hospice of the Western Reserve. He was born August 10, 1948 in Flint, Michigan to the late James and Mildred (Meseraul) Basiger. He resided in the Lake County area most of his life.
Mr. Basiger was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fairport Harbor. He was employed at Grand Rock in Painesville in the shipping and receiving department. Prior to that he worked at Tow Motor and Fisher Scientific. He was a 1966 graduate Mentor High School and enjoyed traveling with family and a fan of Cleveland sports teams.
He is survived by his wife Kristine (Hilston); children, Andrew (Tracy), Jason and Jennifer, Barry (Vanessa) Basiger, Austin Basiger, Andrea (Dave) Musial; grandchildren, Jayden, Brady, Ellie, Taylor, Kensley Basiger and Amelia and David Musial; and his brother Miles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Eagle Street, Fairport Harbor, Ohio.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church.
Burial will take place in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Fairport Harbor.
