Mr. Bloomer died Friday at St. Luke’s Hospital after an extended illness.
He farmed in the Blue Grass area for the past 20 years and also owned the Scott Roofing Co.
Mr. Bloomer was born in Muscatine. He married Vivian Purcell in 1943 in Kahoka, Missouri.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Blue Grass and Donahue Legion Post, Davenport Loyal Order of the Moose, and Roofers Local No. 32, Rock Island.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Wallace S. Jr. and Ronald L., both of Davenport, and five grandchildren.
